“Festa! for the Rest-a-Ya” by Greg Burnham

One of the year’s highlights will take place this weekend in Little Italy. It is called Festa! There will be live entertainment including: a Scilian Swing Quartet band, San Diego’s favorite crooner, David Patrone, and much more. You can enjoy a variety of exquisite food, visit the Little Italy Beer & Wine Garden, attend a Bocce Ball Tournament, and even watch a Stickball Exhibition game. The Old Town Trolley will be providing complimentary shuttle service for the event and will cycle approximately every 15 minutes. Please stop by our Harcourts Pacific Realty office in Little Italy: 1608 India Street for a Little Italy Festa! Entertainment Schedule.

Little Italy is the Northern most district of Downtown San Diego. Its entrance from the south is framed by the historic “Little Italy” sign over India Street. Little Italy is a unique combination of modern high-rises, commercial retail space, and old world culture and history. Its rich European ambience remains from the history of the many Italian families who came to San Diego to make their living in the lucrative Tuna Industry of the last century. The streets, particularly India Street, are replete with bistros, cafes, restaurants, coffee houses, pubs, boutiques and family owned small businesses. You’ll enjoy the many public activities, such as, parades, festivals, including this weekend’s Festa! celebrating Italian Heritage, and the renowned Art Walk.

Little Italy’s character is a unique blend of modern and classic architecture, where an old Victorian or Craftsman style house can be situated adjacent to a modern loft condominium complex that also accommodates an authentic Italian Deli within the ground floor retail space.
